Retail
Store operations, POS, loyalty, and the omnichannel plumbing that makes an in-store transaction feel like the same company as the mobile app.
The software stores actually run on
Retail software usually spans three worlds: the cloud-native engineering team, the in-store hardware team, and the business. We're comfortable bridging all three. We've integrated modern platforms with iSeries backends, written custom POS clients, and rebuilt store-intranet tools that made employees' days visibly easier.
Our retail engagements focus on the operational truth of the store: when a register is offline, when inventory is wrong, when the customer is standing right there waiting.
Typical work
- POS clients and peripheral integration
- Inventory and fulfilment orchestration
- Loyalty and clienteling apps
- In-store analytics and reporting
What we carry into every retail build
Offline-first
Stores lose connectivity. We design for the register that hasn't seen the internet in an hour ? and the sync that has to catch up cleanly when it does.
Respect the floor
Software on a retail floor is used under pressure. Screens, flows, and error states have to be legible to a stressed cashier, not a product designer.
Inventory is sacred
Nothing erodes trust faster than a stock count that's wrong. We build strict reconciliation paths and keep an audit of every change.
Building for physical retail?
The intersection of stores, stock, and software is our favourite kind of problem. Let's talk.
